Hey guys, this is storyblogger77. First of all, I just want to say some apologies about not posting last week. I would have totally, but I was on vacation. I have a very big passion for writing, and it was very hard not to write on here. I did have my tablet with me, but the WiFi at my hotel was not working. I am sorry about the disappointment. Now that we're done with the apologies, why don't we get to the real point of this, my fourth weekly tip!
This week: Rough Drafts and Planning
Sometimes it is fun to write without planning, just using your brain. Though, if you want a more, structured story, I suggest you plan. Planning will help you get to the point, focus on one thing, and make a more structured story. Plus, you will have all your ideas written down, and you won't get stuck in the middle of a story. Rough drafts are more for the people who actually have the time to edit. Sometimes, I can't find the time to edit, and I just want to have fun with an uncut story. Now, rough drafting is almost just the outline of a story. If you feel you want to add more details or clean up the story, I suggest that you make your first copy a rough draft. After making a rough draft, first, go back and add details. This going to beef up the story, and make it more appealing to the reader. This is called editing. Next, go and fix grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors. This will make your story cleaner, and look professional. This is called revising. It is best to go back more than once to edit and revise. This makes your story even better. You can also have other people edit/revise your story. When you are writing a book, you must send it to an editor. Hardly ever, will people's books get published on the first trip to the editor. So before you finish your story, you might want to try and edit or revise. This has been a message from storyblogger77.
